Progress update

What new things did I learn today that I didn’t know yesterday?

  • Managed service providers seem like another really good potential demographic to get into. Didn’t know they existed until today.
Emphasis on the fact it deals with outsourcing.
  • I ran an interview with a project manager who hires freelancers. His top challenges matched some top challenges of HR. He was concerned with finding quality talent in a timely manner and getting tasks done quickly.
  • Chatted with another PM who said one of his biggest challenges is planning in a project:

“Actually, planning have a lot of different tools, like Microsoft Project, and many other online tools for planning and management of projects like also Jira for softwares and so on

But everything missing helping you how to plan and divide your daily project activities/task on plan, and put efforts as hours, and plan hours to show over time frames to show at the end a start and end to the project as dates

I did use different tool, each one help on something, but we have to depend on project manager skills to keep reviewing and updating the planning tool”

Getting members on a team update their progress is hard he says.

  • Specifically enterprises seem to be continually adopting internal talent marketplaces, hiring contingent labor, and direct sourcing. Good lead for helping determine business size, revenue, project size, nature of the project that might be completed on the platform, etc…

What hypotheses were proved or disproved?

  • Currently testing the landing page today. Update soon?

What prototypes were run today?

  • Landing page (specifically testing desirability/value. Main categories to run tests are in desirability, usability, feasibility, and viability). I heavily used the same language that one of the PMs used when he described working with freelancers. Things like “micromanage”, “mixed bag”, “pre-screens”.
